Elmore have suffered a body blow leading into the Season with star recruit Mark Adamson informing the Club he has had a change of heart and won’t play with the Bloods this season. Adamson was secured by the Bloods after he sensationally left Golden Square after Coaching them to last seasons BFL Premiership.

Changing Times! Adamson holds the 2009 BFL Club aloft.

Adamson headed the Bloods fruitful recruiting spree and was seen to be their answer for a star performer in attack that was absent at times throughout last season included in the 1st Semi Final where the Bloods could only manage 6 goals in a miserable loss to LBU.

Bloods Coach Andy Grant was disappointed but diplomatic about the situation ‘’ Yeah it’s disappointing we were looking forward to having Mark in the side, although he informed me earlier in the week that due to some personal circumstances that he was no longer able to commit to our Club’’.

It appears a realistic chance that Adamson may in fact return to Goulburn Valley League Club Kyabram a Club he Coached to a finals appearance before joining the BFL Bulldogs.

‘’We understand that people have bigger things in their life than Football, although it wasn’t something we saw coming so we need to move on quickly’’.

Adamson has been a regular on the training track up to this point and was said to have fitted in with the playing group well.

Grant said the process of replacing the trump card had already started ‘’ Yeah we are already talking to two players, One who has been a prolific goal kicker in Metropolitan Football so we’re hopeful that we can secure a suitable replacement’’.

Apart from the hiccup of the Adamson departure Grant said the Pre-Season had been very productive’’ Yeah training has been going well, the enthusiasm and fitness levels of the players have been very good so were looking to come into the Season with a great preparations behind us’’.

Meanwhile the Bloods could have the added bonus of 2007 Premiership star Ryan Hayes later in the Season if all goes well with his recovery ”He trained Wednesday night and he wants to play but we are just easing him back, and will need the all clear from the doctor but we are all hoping he plays later in the Year” Grant said.

The Bloods will face an almighty task first up in Season 2010 with a road trip to Leitchville to take on the league newest Club on debut. It should be a fantastic day for the League and it shapes as a cracking contest with Leitchville Gunbower also promising to have a powerful playing list.
